Outreach to Professionals

These Professional Info Packets include letter templates customized for use in outreach campaigns to Human Services Professionals, Spiritual Leaders, Doctors, Counselors/Therapists, and Lawyers/Law Enforcement/Criminal Justice professionals. Each letter can be tailored for use in your geographic area.

Please use the Info Packets only for the audience intended.

How to Create Customized Packets

We suggest the following steps in putting the Professional Info Packet into action:

1. Download the letter template that is appropriate for your outreach campaign and insert your local hotline or contact telephone numbers in the appropriate areas of the letter (shown by italics).  Choose from Human Services Professionals, Spiritual Leaders, Doctors, Counselors/Therapists, and Lawyers/Law Enforcement/Criminal Justice professionals.  There is also a template with information about S-Ateen.

2. Make up several Professional Info packets as follows:
   a) The Outreach to Professionals Letter, with your local information added.
   b) The Information for Professionals about S-Anon and S-Ateen Family Groups brochure.
   c) The S-Anon Checklist questions.
   d) The S-Anon Contact Card for Professionals (business card size).

3. It is recommended you do not include a local Meeting List in the Professional Info Packet, for reasons of group safety and outdated meeting directories.

4. Be aware of copyright policies for S-Anon literature, outlined in more detail in the next section.

5. Pass them out! As a reminder, these packets are intended for Human Services Professionals, Spiritual Leaders, Doctors, Counselors/Therapists, and Lawyers/Law Enforcement/Criminal Justice professionals. Please use the Info Packets only for the audience intended.
